Wedding Tiara Tips

Tiaras vary greatly in style and size but they do have some common components. Tiaras are made of a metal base and embellished with rhinestones, pearls, crystals or a combination. Many headpieces are either combs or open in the back, so they will work with virtually any hairstyle.

1. If it is a halo or a complete circle piece, you will need to have an up do or a short hair style.
2. If all else fails, just ask your hairstylist if it will work for the style you are wanting.
3. If you have accents, like pearls, rhinestones, etc. in your dress, you will want to pick a headpiece that has the same accents in it. Also keep in mind, crystal & rhinestones tiaras are very multipurpose and will usually go with any gown.
4. If your gown is simple without any accents, try to keep the headpiece simple as well. Headpieces with straight lines in them usually go well with simple dresses. You will also want to take into consideration the jewelry that you are planning to wear as well.
5. If your jewelry has pearls, get a headpiece that has corresponding colored pearls.
6. If you are wearing diamonds, rhinestone headpieces are a great match.
